A Little View at Little Compton, RI
Map provided via Google Maps
This visit to Little Compton was initiated by our Saturday visits to Farm Fresh marketplace in Providence. Their selection of organic produce is outstanding. When the Farm Fresh season comes to an end, we chose to go directly to the source of this 40 acre farm in Little Compton. They do not disappoint. It was even more than we anticipated. They have been in business for over 40 years. You’ll find vegetables of all kinds, prepared foods, cooked on the premises, and baked goods that beg to come home. In the off season on the farm location, there is an honor system market where you can continue to shop. Otherwise, you will find them at the Farm Fresh market in Providence from November to April.
Little Compton is a down to earth, hometown kind of New England spot with more farms than we could count ! There are secret gardens to explore, rustic restaurants, a south shore beach, a Goosewing Beach preserve, an art café, the Sakonnet Vineyards, and we discovered a fantastic thrift store. The overall feeling of Little Compton is cozy, old time home New England. We encourage you to explore more upon your arrival, as you put your feet to the pavement.
